frequently asked questions (FAQS)

WHAT iS YOUR APPROACH TO WELLNESS COACHING?

At Happier Healthier Self, I believe wellness should feel like coming home to yourself, not chasing someone else’s version of “healthy.”

That means, your transformation doesn't rely on extremes, rigid rules or perfection.

Instead, I help you make small, supportive shifts that fit your real life so you can feel better in a way that’s sustainable, enjoyable, and truly yours.

I don’t hand you a one-size-fits-all plan. I help you uncover what already feels good and build on that, so your habits stick long after our work together ends.

My approach is rooted in:
  • Self-compassion over perfection
  • Consistency over all-or-nothing thinking
  • Your inner wisdom, not trends or pressure

Because wellness isn’t something you earn or hustle for, it’s something you live into, one doable step at a time.

One thing I've noticed again and again is that most women already know what helps. They know that walking, breathing, better sleep, and slowing down make a difference. The gap isn't knowledge, it's implementation. Getting to do it, in a way that actually fits your life and your nervous system, is where most programs fall short and where my work begins.

If that sounds like the kind of support you’ve been craving, you’re in the right place.

ABOUT HEALTH AND WELLNESS COACHING & HOW IT WORKS

What is a health and wellness coach, and do I need one?

As a health and wellness coach, I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, I help you explore what works best for your unique lifestyle.

You first decide what you’d like to focus on: sleep, stress, nutrition, or movement. These areas are often connected, and while we may explore all of them, we’ll start where it matters most to you.

I won’t prescribe habits, diets, or fitness plans. Instead, I’ll work with you to co-create strategies that resonate with your lifestyle and preferences, ensuring they are both effective and enjoyable.

You are your own best expert and you already have the answers within you. My role is to help you tune in, trust yourself, and make changes that feel good and sustainable because they actually fit the life you've built.

What are the benefits of working with a midlife wellness coach?

Instead of following another rigid wellness plan, you’ll develop a personalized approach that feels good and sustainable. This means your wellness journey will be tailored specifically to your needs, allowing for flexibility and adjustments as you discover what truly works for you.

I’ll guide and support you in overcoming overwhelm, letting go of guilt, and tuning into your body’s needs.

Whether improving sleep, reducing stress, or creating healthier habits, you’ll gain practical tools, encouragement, and accountability, without extremes.

How does 1:1 wellness coaching work?

Sessions last 1 hour and take place on Zoom.

I offer 1:1 coaching packages for 3 or 6 months.

We start with a free 30-minute discovery call to see if we’re a good fit.

Each session focuses on your goals, small actionable steps, and refining your approach to what works best for you.

Between sessions, you’ll get support and accountability to keep you moving forward at your own pace.

I’m looking for someone to just tell me exactly what to do. Will you?

I totally get the temptation. Life is busy, and sometimes we just want a clear plan and someone to say, “Do this and you’ll feel better.”

While I’ll absolutely guide you, offer structure, and share tools that work, I won’t hand you a rigid plan to follow. That’s because true wellness doesn’t come from doing what someone else tells you to do. It comes from learning to trust yourself.

You’re not doing anything wrong, and you don’t need fixing. What you need is space, support, and someone who will meet you with compassion, not judgment, when life happens.

If you slip up, you won’t get scolded or shamed. We’ll explore what happened with curiosity and kindness, and find your next best step together.

Real change isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up for yourself in a new way.

Do I need to follow a meal plan or specific routine?

No, I don’t provide you with rigid rules or one-size-fits-all plans.

Instead, we’ll explore what works best for your body, your schedule, and your life right now. I’ll offer tools, ideas, and support, but you get to choose what feels right to make it stick.

What if I’ve tried everything and nothing’s worked for my health?

Then you’re in the right place. If you’re feeling frustrated or stuck, I’ll help you take the pressure off and reconnect with your own wisdom.

Together, we’ll find small, sustainable shifts that actually feel doable, and make a real difference.

Who is wellness coaching for?

✅ It’s for you if:
You’re ready to make small, meaningful changes to feel better.

You want a sustainable, enjoyable approach to wellness, without guilt or extremes.

You value support, accountability, and a coach who listens rather than dictates.

❌ It’s NOT for you if:
You want someone to tell you exactly what to do.

You expect quick fixes without making any changes.

You’re looking for a strict diet or an intense workout plan.

What if I’m unsure if wellness coaching is right for me?

I understand that choosing a coach is a significant decision. That’s why I offer a complimentary 30-minute discovery call where we get to meet each other face to face. There is no-obligation of any kind tied to it. It's simply a chat between two women to discuss your goals, how I can help and most importantly, see if we’re a good fit.

Feel free to schedule your free call here.

Do you offer group coaching?

Yes! The Calm Reset Method is a 6-week live group coaching program for women 40+ who are high-achieving, carrying a lot, and ready for a different way of doing things. Together, we explore simple ways to feel more present, steady, and like yourself again - without needing life to slow down first.

What makes it different from a typical wellness program is that we practice together rather than just study together. You experience the tools during our live sessions, discover what works for your nervous system and your life, and build a personal toolkit that fits your actual circumstances — whether you're managing a full-time job, caring for children or aging parents, navigating a difficult health situation, or all of the above.

Cohort 2 opens for enrollment on September 1, 2026. Waitlist members get first access and save $200. You can join the waitlist here.

How much time does The Calm Reset Method require?

Surprisingly little. The live session is one hour per week, and most of the tools we explore take less than two minutes. This isn't about adding another item to your to-do list. It's about finding small ways to feel more like yourself again without needing life to slow down first.

What if I'm not a meditation person?

That's completely fine. The Calm Reset Method isn't a meditation course.

We explore a variety of practical tools, including breathing exercises, grounding techniques, simple awareness practices, and ways to pause before reacting.
The goal isn't to become a calmer or different person. It's to discover what helps you feel more grounded, steady, and like yourself again.

What makes The Calm Reset Method different from a self-paced course?

Change rarely happens from information alone. Most women already know what helps. The challenge is doing it consistently in real life. The Calm Reset Method combines live practice, reflection, coaching, and community so you can experience the tools, discover what works for you, and actually use them when you need them.

MY APPROACH & PHILOSOPHY

What is your background?

I’ve always been curious, a lifelong learner who loves exploring new ideas and diving deep to find what truly works.

Before I became an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I spent years working in law, finance, and entrepreneurship, including building a  travel startup that connected like-minded travelers and locals around the world. I loved what I did... until life gently nudged me in a new direction.

The pandemic hit pause on the fast-paced, travel-heavy life I was living. It gave me space to reflect, slow down, and reevaluate. And around the same time, midlife brought its own quiet shift: the workouts I used to love no longer energized me, and the habits that once worked stopped feeling aligned.

So, I did what I always do when I’m looking for answers: I researched, explored, and experimented. I started leaning into what felt good instead of what I thought I "should" be doing. That led me here.

Now, I help high-achieving women over 40 do the same: gently let go of what’s no longer working, tune into their inner wisdom, and create small, sustainable shifts that bring energy, balance, and joy back into their everyday life.

The Calm Reset Method, my 6-week group coaching program, grew directly out of this work, and out of watching what actually creates lasting change for women who are high-achieving, permanently busy, and quietly exhausted.

This isn’t about overhauling your world overnight. It's about building enough self-trust that you can slow down inside the life you already have; not by becoming someone different, but by becoming more aware of what you actually need.

German (mother tongue), English and French.

Which languages do you coach in?

English or German.

What is your personal approach to nutrition?

I don’t believe in restrictive diets or one-size-fits-all meal plans.

Instead of focusing on eliminating certain food groups or labeling food as good or bad, I encourage adding more nourishing foods to your plates that make you feel good.

And most importantly, I believe that food should be enjoyable.

How is wellness coaching different from therapy?

I am a Health & Wellness Coach, not a doctor, dietitian, or therapist.

My coaching is not a substitute for medical advice or therapy. I don't diagnose, treat or cure any underlying illnesses.

If you have health concerns or are currently taking any medication or are undergoing any kind of therapy, please consult your healthcare professional before making any significant changes.

INVESTMENT & RESULTS

Can you promise results?

No, and nobody can.

What I can tell you is that small, imperfect steps add up more than most people expect.

The women who get the most out of this work stay open-minded, are willing to try things even when they feel a little resistance, and keep showing up; not because they have to, but because they've chosen to do something for themselves.

My role is to provide the structure, tools, and support - not hour-long routines or a complete life overhaul, but simple practices that help you come back to yourself.

Small steps are always enough, and consistency doesn't have to be perfect. What creates change isn't flawless execution, it's the willingness to stay curious and keep going.

Why should I invest in wellness coaching instead of doing it alone?

Knowing what to do is one thing, doing it consistently is another. That's where health and wellness coaching comes in.

If you’ve struggled with motivation or the all-or-nothing mindset, coaching helps you stay accountable, shift from self-criticism to self-compassion, and celebrate progress (even when it’s imperfect).

Is wellness coaching worth the investment?

Investing in yourself is one of the best decisions you can make.

Prioritizing your health improves everything: your energy, emotional well-being, confidence, self-esteem, self-trust, mindset, relationships, and overall well-being.

Coaching isn’t just about temporary changes; it’s about learning tools that support you for life.
